A Weekend Full of Blessings, Gratitude, and Hope

“Sometimes, the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.”

The past three days have been nothing short of amazing and nerve-wracking at the same time. Every single moment reminded me that patience, faith, and persistence truly pay off.

Saturday, July 19, 2025 – A Day of Milestones and Conversations

Saturday was a blessing-filled day! We finally lodged our documents to the IRCC, and to our surprise, I received a same-day confirmation to proceed with my biometrics. I honestly couldn’t contain my excitement. It was one of those moments where you just pause and say, “Thank You, Lord, for this favor!”

Later that day, something unexpected yet heartwarming happened Elaiza’s cousin, Steve, reached out. He shared a little about his life and his long-distance relationship. We had a deep, genuine conversation that made me realize how important it is to stay connected to the people who matter. Sometimes, even in the middle of our busy lives, these conversations give us perspective.

“No matter how far apart, love and connection can still thrive when we choose to nurture it.”

Sunday, July 20, 2025 – Double Blessings and Reunions

Sunday was truly unforgettable. After seven years apart, ASMS OFFICERS batch 2017-2019 finally reunited for a special brunch. What made it even more meaningful was that it also marked the first anniversary of Brunch at Maple House by Jaja.

Laughs, stories, and memories flowed endlessly. It reminded me that friendship is a gift that keeps on giving.

That same night, as the day was coming to an end, another blessing came our way at 9 PM, Elaiza received her biometrics confirmation! Imagine the joy! I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt like a green light signaling, “You’re moving closer to your dreams.”

Before the day closed, we also took time to pray. A simple prayer, full of faith and gratitude. Because no matter how uncertain things can feel, prayer always brings peace.

“Prayer doesn’t change God’s plans it changes us to trust His timing.”

Today, July 21, 2025 – Booking the Big Step

Fast forward to today we successfully booked our biometrics appointment for July 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM. It’s going to be quick just 15 minutes. But honestly, the weight of this small step feels enormous.

We’re nervous, yes. But hopeful? Absolutely. This journey has taught us that while the process may be long, every little progress is worth celebrating.

A Special Letter to My ASMS Family

Dear ASMS Officers,

To Josh and Mommy Dors kaya natin ‘to as Virtual Assistants! Keep pushing forward.

To Ate Cecile, we are so proud of your business and how far you’ve come.

To the officers who couldn’t make it to the reunion we missed you, and we hope you’re doing well. Life may take us in different directions, but this bond will always remain.

And to the officer who is now in heaven Ega, we miss your delightful smile so much. May you continue guiding us, your family, and friends from above. You will always have a place in our hearts.

What This Journey Has Taught Me

As I sit here reflecting, I can’t help but smile. These are my key takeaways:

✅ Celebrate small victories – Every approval, every email, every update is a step forward.
✅ Stay connected to people who matter – Conversations with loved ones can lift your spirit when anxiety creeps in.
✅ Pray and trust the process – It’s not about controlling everything; it’s about surrendering with faith.

✅ Gratitude changes everything – The more thankful you are, the more blessings you recognize.

“Faith is seeing light with your heart when your eyes see darkness.”

To everyone reading this: Whatever your dream is, hold onto it. Celebrate every little progress. Because one day, you’ll look back and realize it all started with that one brave step forward.

✨ Your turn:

What’s one small victory you’re celebrating today? Share it in the comments I’d love to celebrate with you!
