A Letter That Changed Everything: My Journey to International Business University

February 25, 2025. This date will forever be etched in my heart. It was the day I officially received my Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and Letter of Attestation (LOA) from International Business University in Toronto, Canada. A whirlwind of emotions hit me all at once. Happiness, gratitude, excitement, nervousness, and an overwhelming sense of relief.

A Dream Turning Into Reality

From the moment I decided to pursue higher education abroad, I knew the journey wouldn’t be easy. The process of applying, gathering documents, and waiting for results was nerve-wracking. But when I finally saw that acceptance letter in my inbox, it felt like the universe was whispering, "You’re on the right path."

I immediately shared the news with my girlfriend, Elaiza Joy, and we were both over the moon! We hugged, laughed, and even shed a few tears. It was a moment of pure joy and gratitude. We are blessed beyond words.

Mixed Emotions: Excitement, Nervousness, and Gratitude

The acceptance was just the beginning. Now comes the next big step. Our visa, student permit, and work permit applications. The thought of waiting for another set of results fills us with anticipation and a bit of anxiety, but we remain hopeful. Everything happens for a reason, and we trust that what is meant for us will come in perfect timing.

With my deferment to Fall 2025 intake, we have more time to prepare, plan, and embrace this big life change. It’s a period of transition and growth, and we are ready to take it on, hand in hand.

Lessons to Learn From This Journey

  1. Patience is a virtue. Good things take time, and the waiting period teaches us to trust the process.
  2. Believe in yourself. There were moments of doubt, but persistence and faith made all the difference.
  3. Support matters. Having my girlfriend by my side made this journey even more meaningful. Surround yourself with people who lift you up.
  4. Gratitude changes everything. No matter how tough things get, always be thankful for where you are and where you are headed.
  5. Keep looking forward. The best is yet to come!

Words to Live By

"Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations."

What’s Next?

Now, we wait for the visa approval and start preparing for our big move. The journey to Canada is becoming more real each day, and we are embracing every step with faith, hope, and excitement.

To those who are also on the path to studying abroad. Keep pushing forward. Your dreams are valid, and your time will come.

For now, I take a deep breath, cherish this milestone, and get ready for what’s ahead. Fall 2025, here we come! 🇨🇦✨
